Pierre Relaño’s (aka Bruma) music is an entrance to a fluid world, where fractured motifs, melodic phrases and complex rhythmical interjections merge – creating sophisticated and abstract environments, in which each movement is the product of a multitude of nuances and micro-events.
His current live acts and compositions are linked to the software that he develops for real-time algorithmic composition. This software embeds a romantic vision of machine learning systems, allowing a true dialogue between musical intuition and causal strictness of A.I. The sonic ecosystem feeds itself, the rhythm and harmonic patterns are constantly evolving and deforming in response to the flow of the whole matter.
It was already with the implicit idea of a “fluid architecture” that he sketched his first EP on the French label Le Cabanon Records. Currently, he is working on his first long format, affirming the evanescence of the “block” that represents, for him, the musical sequence.
