On the last Wednesday of every month, our SHAPE radio show on Resonance 104.4 fm introduces artists associated with the SHAPE platform, presenting different approaches and perspectives of modern sound-making. Spatial is an electronic musician and multimedia artist from London exploring low frequency vibration with physical intervention through DJ sets & live performance and via recorded media. Klara Lewis is a Swedish composer born in 1993. Her critically acclaimed debut album Ett was released by Viennese record label Editions Mego in 2014 and was followed shortly thereafter by the Msuic EP, released on fellow SHAPE-supported artist Peder Mannerfelt’s eponymous label. Her new album Too has been recently released on Editions Mego. TOLE aims to create compositions rather than tracks, force rather than melody, and shifting details rather than clear patterns. The music project of Berlin and Prague-based visual artist Martin Kohout, TOLE combines ideas from his artistic practice and research with his own recordings and production. Andi Stecher is an Austrian born and Berlin based drummer, percussionist and electronic musician. His current focus lies on solo compositions and live sets. In June 2015, Stecher released his first solo album austreiben/antreiben through Heart of Noise Edition. It is a personal take on mask-wearing pre-Christian Alpine traditions which are widespread all over Europe. (photo: Hampus-Högberg)
