Two more showcases are coming in June, so keep an eye out for further announcements!

JellyZone: Magalaat (22.05.2025)

Cairo, Egypt

SHAPE+ line-up of the event:

alys(alys)alys (BR/DE)

Assyouti (EG/DE)

Fujita Pinnacle (SI)

JellyZone, a curated night since 2017, has redefined Cairo’s electronic music scene by opening doors to a more diverse and inclusive audience. With accessible, affordable events, it’s become a home for experimental and left-field artists, connecting them with a broader crowd and cultivating a vibrant, supportive community that thrives outside the mainstream.

Magalaat [“Fields” in Arabic], a JellyZone series launched in November 2024, created to spark dialogue between Cairo’s underground scene and artists from other underrepresented regions.

Magalaat: Scatter is a special edition bringing together three artists from three different places: Brazil, Slovenia, and Egypt.

Set in a mini football field by the Nile, the choice of venue reflects JellyZone’s instinct to adapt and transform: they’ve previously done events at wedding halls, rooftop corners, desert camps hidden in the heart of the city, and riverside gardens.

Both alys(alys) and Assyouti will conduct a one-day masterclass, targeting young producers like themselves,, they will showcase a few of their projects and demonstrate their workflow, tips and tricks and share experience together and connect with the other producers attending.
