Simona Machovičová is a dancer, performer and choreographer born in Slovakia. She studied at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, majoring in choreography. She completed two semesters at the Peridance Capezio Dance Center in New York. She has collaborated with several local and international choreographers and dance companies such as Lenka Vagnerová & company, Felix Landerer (Germany), Jana Burkiewiczová and BurkiCom., Brian Friedman (USA) and Carl Portal (FR). For several theatre seasons he has been working in the Prague dance company 420PEOPLE under the direction of Václav Kuneš and in the French dance company KAFIG under the direction of Mourad Merzouki. She has won awards for her choreographic work at the Internationales Solo Tanz Theater in Stuttgart and at the Festival of Choreographic Miniatures in Belgrade.
