Experimental electronic music project Gas of Latvia has been collaborating with multimedia artist Katrīna Neiburga for approximately 10 years, be it as part of Neiburga’s video works and installations or via joint audiovisual performances.

Music producer and composer Andris Indāns has been active as a musician since the late ’80s; his Gas of Latvia project is one of the most significant electronic music endeavors from the project’s namesake country. Gas of Latvia have recorded and released over 10 studio albums, each of them with a different vibe and sound. Experimenting with dub ambient, drone, noise, IDM, industrial music and techno, they still keeping their signature sound. Andris Indãns also writes music for films, video art & theatre performances.

Multimedia artist Katrīna Neiburga is one of the most notable video art figures in Latvia. She creates installations, light and video projections for opera and theatre productions and concerts, and also takes part in exhibitions in Latvia and abroad. She is recipient of the first Purvītis award – the main contemporary art award in Latvia.

This artist participated in the SHAPE platform which concluded in 2022. The current version of the project is SHAPE+. Like its predecessor, it is co-funded by the European Union.
