Peter Kutin works with sound across genres. His works have been exhibited, commissioned, performed or screened at various occasions and
venues across the globe. His live-performances or installations hold a physical and psychological impact that throws you as much off balance as it will embrace you. Kutin has written and developed music / sonic-environments for film, theatre, performance, contemporary dance and radioplays. Besides that he directed experimental short-films and wrote or composed works for radio. His collaboration list includes artists from different fields, also beyond the art-category, ranging from experimental physics to investigative journalists.

For the composition Desert Bloom, a cooperation with the german composer and pioneer of sound-art Christina Kubisch & his long time collaborator Florian Kindlinger, he received the Karl Szucka Award in 2016. In 2019 his kinetic instrument Torso#1 received the golden Nica at the Ars-electronica festival. He is a founding member of the label Ventil-Records, the platform for experimental music velak and is a co-organiser of the RealDeal Festival.
